Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Scently account and all associated personal data at any time.
This page complies with App Store, Google Play, GDPR (Article 17), CCPA, and KVKK requirements
for the right to erasure.
Option 1 — Delete from the app (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account:
- Open the Scently app
- Go to Profile tab → Settings (gear icon, top right)
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- If you signed up with email and password, enter your password to confirm
- Confirm — your data will be permanently removed within seconds
Option 2 — Email request
If you no longer have access to the app, send an email to
support@scentlyapp.co
from the email address linked to your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Please include:
- The email address used to register
- Your display name (if known)
- The reason for deletion (optional)
We will process your request within 30 days as required by GDPR / KVKK.
For most accounts, deletion is completed within 24 hours.
What gets deleted
The following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:
- Account credentials (email, password)
- Profile (display name, profile photo, country)
- Quiz answers and scent profile
- Favorite perfumes
- Swipe history (likes / passes)
- Wear logs ("Today I'm wearing" entries)
- Gift sessions and gift lists
- Scent twin matches
- AI gift query history
- Refresh tokens and password reset tokens
What may be retained
For legitimate operational and legal purposes, the following may be retained in anonymized form
and cannot be linked back to you:
- Aggregated usage analytics (e.g. "X users swiped this perfume" with no user identifier)
- Server access logs for security and abuse prevention (retained 30–90 days)
- Subscription transaction records, where required by tax law (App Store / Google Play hold these regardless)
Subscription cancellation
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Scently Pro subscription.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple App Store or Google Play and must be cancelled separately:
- iOS: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → Scently → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions → Scently → Cancel
